OPEN SESSION RULES:
1. PAY BEFORE YOU PLAY at front desk!
2. Share all tables and do not hit the the tables with rackets!
3. Excellent sportsmanship is expected at ALL times
4. Follow all facility rules
5. Play STOPS at the times given regardless of where you are in a match and all players should help put equipment away.
Town of Cary facilities host open sessions for table tennis three times per week. Cary TTA provides top quality tables and nets for these sessions. To play at an open session you MUST pay a facility use fee by purchasing a “Table Tennis Pass” at the FRONT desk BEFORE playing (regardless of how long you attend that session you must pay).
Cary TTA does not charge for equipment use, however, please participate in a tournament as the profits from these are how Cary TTA buys and maintains these great tables.
Anyone of any age may buy a pass and play (bring your own paddle). Equipment is shared by players so introduce yourself to other players and ask how the session play is being organized that evening. Children MUST be supervised by their parent/guardian.
There are no instructors or club reps at open sessions. It is a practice session where you can play others who attend and share tables. For organized play then attend a tournament (regardless of ability). Private lessons can be arranged at your home for $30/hour with an USATT certified (and experienced) coach.
No paid coaching takes place at open sessions however players do give each other tips.
